This functions is obvious to most people, but the details within the function are a bit more complex.  Over the years we have gained insights in how different the responsibilities within the "sales" function can be. They vary depending on seniority and whether you got subordinates or not and which channel is your target. 

As an example we understand differences between, grocery retail, convenience retail, OTC, Specialist Retail, Sports Retail, DIY Retail and consumer durable like Small and Large Domestic Appliances etc. 

We have also over the years gained knowledge about the B2B segments related to our the suppliers we engaged with. We understand the differences between Foodservice, HoReCa, On-Trade, Off-Trade etc.
